moons valley of lost dreams

moons valley of lost dreams

A Poem by Nyx

like suvivors of the pleague

we raced

through the woods

etching our lives away into trees.

we lughed until

our laughs turned to sobs

.

we wept rivers into the soil

the leaves fell

as we shook in each others arms

while in the distance

children cried

and he wind swayed the trees

in a symphony of sighs

with a shudder i collapsed onto

the ground

you cried for me

where your tears fell

flowers bloomed

you gathered them

pulled the petals

tore them up

and cast them away

in a watery voice saying

"flowers are for funerals"

you sank to the ground next to me

moonbeams scattered around us

fingers entwined we gaze at the stars

and loose our selves to time

in the valley of the moon

where dreams are seen

and nightmares come alive

shadows play across us

but the fire is dying now

and we fell weariness

tugging at our bones

like the ocean current

deaths little sister

laid her fingers on our

eyelids and gradully the

world began to darken

until only stars remained

burned into my vision

like little dots of static

forever glowing bright

This is really pretty, actually.
And some of it is reminiscent of AFI's Untitled Poem, from the album Sing the Sorrow.
I can see it's not intended, but it just kind of has that feeling to it.
Lovely work. ^-^
