Weightless
by Odin Roark

How synergistic,
This burden of perceived weight
Nature’s duality of purpose
                    Some call isolation,
Others deem but connection
To conscious pursuits of fruition.

It’s often rocky paths of change evolving,
Purposely find circuitous routes asking one
Accept disappointment,
Embrace the lessons hard fought,
Avow that even a leaf knows well
There comes a time to give gravity its due,
To peaceably float to a resting place
Knowing behind a once soaring feather follows.

For even though…

Life’s discourse often takes wing
Sometimes gliding into regret,
Nature’s paradox consoles.
Knowing without mistakes,
There are no lessons learned.

Such remains the essence
Of this weightless,
Amorphous wonderment,
Reserved for those
Who while admitting defeat,
Find such disappointment allegorical,
A creation made valid
For all who seek
The inward realm of existential truth.

Weightless…

How beautiful its reality understood.
