Sunday soccer

Sunday soccer

A Poem by Souladareatease
"

kicking the 'ol ball around

"

Shades of blue
were soft winds
this day, anew
Carried in four
leaves of green
with bud in rho.
beauty, sea of see
Mayflowers bloom
then there's me
millions a mile
from my place
gathering images
in sing and play
six stringed bling,
walks for me, paint
acoustic tapestry
in a thump and run
back street delicacy
known as taking walks
these sunny Sundays
are held, breaking life
In, as constant promise
strife is not always.
winds blow color
in one form or another
breezed by belief...

you have a painters mind in this one, very strong images and some playful rhetoric to boot. (pun intended) i used to play right wing for the Pinner Green team , way back in the day....oof! what memories, snogging behind the grandstand with little Linda Wignall and getting my hands into her tiny knickers....when did i ever find time to play football? (that's soccer to these bloody yanks) well penned, my friend!

appreciate the read and kind comment Curtis, I'm glad it conveyed.
This piece had a melody and a voice, my friend! I quite enjoyed the read, once I got into the beat. You use some interesting wordplay, which brought things up a notch or two. You always impress me with your thoughts, my friend. Well done and well penned, as always.
