A Poem by Souladareatease

By Souladareatease and Grace

Read me a poem
Under the Sickle moon
With the songs of the night
Winds on the eaves,
Whispers of nocturnal birds
Hands entwined
While coffee steams

Sing me a song
along our throated sigh
with deep words laid in savour
tastes dipped in being
herein days upon evenings
eyes aligned
In coffee kiss

I shall choose a song
Of the songbird
Warble my dreams
Through the air
to reach providence's ear
to tease the soul
to fascinate

Such songs one must hear
sweetened song dove
feather of hair
vision in light
floating waves touching island
poised in perfect Grace
spellbound

Poems shall speak
Of tightened knots
On lavender stalks
Adorning crystals
And glistening silver
On rivers of gold
Tied with rainbows

perfect played rhythms
of life's love
giving the reason
perfect unions
the silken treasure
worth such spending
forever gifted splendour

Sing I the song
Of Naomi and Ruth
Recite you the poem
Of bards of yore
When hearth they lay
For a night sojourn
With their Holy Book

Conversations of air
Near and faraway.

Thank You Rita:) Indeed my favorite bit as well ;)
This had an Emliy Bronte feel to it, I could picture Heathcliff having this conversation with Catherine on the moors, lovely collaboration.

This is a really beautiful poem Soul. I'd say your collaboration with grace was a great success. I love the last Stanza particularly as I feel it's important for poets to read the classic poetic works. Great job soul.
