Alas, empty
came the cry
shall I not see
with both my eyes
drying, in strain
the waters
all gone
recessed blessings

sail on sail on

Wind did carry
took your breath
from four corners
that know
how you laughed
Your last gasp
the door nailed
shut
and pry
as you might
never ray
never sun
will light
place shadow
upon your
stoop

Caw caw
crow
wander run
to yonder battlefield
where eyes pecked
are thee only meal
some knight will find you
bless and keep you still

Till his heart bleeds out
and the moon rises full

I think we should not loathe those who seek forgiveness and a second chance and try to repair the past but we should give them the room to make things right and maybe be an ally all over again...A very well written poem dear poet...:)

Indeed...I too follow this thought...but how MANY times...when the masks change with each new venture...once bitten twice shy..three times wonder why...people do not change unless genuine want of it...this is rare and found mostly in Youth...those that find ways to trick and deceive in constant changing ways those that have supported and forgiven numerous tricks...eventually be called fool---to Love and give with an open Heart is a true and right path...but those that spit upon that path more than once need not tread it again----Thank You Dear Sami-You are a wise man!!!
