Loud sounds the night
breathing waves of cicada
mixing in cricket din
She sends me flowers
with her letter asking me
if I am better
perfume wafts
from the enveloped care
crimped with compassion
love succulent sacrament
held in manila packaging
this night screams for her reach
as miles carry closeness
breath upon wings
bats flit like eyelids
disguising themselves
as carrier pigeons
racing night skies
thumping our pulse
call of wolves
echoing thoughts
reach miles
where hands hold
keeping safe
sacrosanct chambers

Such a haunting piece, but only in the most romantic of ways. This is haunting as a beautiful cathedral is haunting; where you know you are standig before something that is bigger than yourself and you can't help but feel a little small and afraid even though you are inffused with awe. I truly enjoyed these words...powerful.
