Promise,Mother

Promise,Mother

A Poem by Souladareatease

Streaming Her lifeforce
I stood atop rocky banks
with a breeze to coax me in
wildflower smiles
blush burgundy
yellows crave sympathy
and deer snort
unexpectedly surprised

Rocks hug the overflow
creating staircase falls
nestled in hills cradle
arteries spill into creeks
as leaves orange and green
canoe times passage
through natures by-way

Box turtles bask lazily
soaking golden
in outstretched plea
whispering archaic phrases
as hints to the everlast
could hold true
despite fast rushing waters

You have the soul of a gypsy...a wanderer and lover of the land and the world around you. This feeling comes across so lavishly in your poetry; you dream it on paper and then we dream it with you. I love the tone of this piece, which speaks of the depth and clarity of nature and life. Well done...I've missed reading you in my absence!
