Alice

Alice

A Poem by OfDeathandLove

A girl with no identity
Fell down the rabbit hole
And time stopped eternity
For her to find a soul

Eat me, drink me
Fill me 'till I'm full
Give me the silver key
That fits any hole

Take me to the Mad Hatter
We'll have a spot of tea
Snuf, Quest, it doesn't matter
Just help me find me

Show me a smiling cat
Who'll vanish before my eyes
Sing me twinkle little bat
Show me truth among lies

Lead me to the soldiers
Who paint white roses red
Hide me from the others
Who'll shout "Off with her head"

Guide me to the smoke
Of the caterpillar who is blue
I don't mind these crazy folk
for I don't know what to do

Tell me silly riddles
Ask me who I am
I may have learned a little
Or at least began

I may be mad
I don't care anymore
I have no need to be sad;
I've found what I'm looking for

She smiles as she recalls
Her place in this world-wide palace
Down the rabbit hole, her fall
Showed her name is Alice

I enjoyed this. It was very interesting and unique. I do think it was a bit blunt, but it was still good. And in the fifth stanza, the last sentence, it should be 'Who'll shout, "Off with her head". But I liked this. Very nice.
