There I stood, on the apex of the mountainous cliff. Without him, my life was nothing, the world merely passed around me in sepia, movements always in slow motion. Up there was the only place I felt alive, only place I could feel my heart beating again. If I was to end this meaningless life, it was going to be there. I was on the very edge, my bare feet cutting into the sharp rock. My husband’s favorite dress of mine was soaked in mists of water. Holding onto all the memories, I jumped, preparing for our reunion in death.
