Wolf Pack's Court
In the court I heard the trickle of a fountain, as it spilled softly into
a pond.
Dragonfly whispering silent nothings to a spider as it flew hovering
about.
Time stood
still; I froze dead in my tracks, unwilling to disturb this vision.
I passed the mill on my way to greet the wolf pack, they asked
me to meet.
Every thing amiss, no
creatures were about; a secret spell cast on darkness.
The forest’s wounds were plain to see, yet all would look away
pretending.
My thoughts jumped back painfully recalling the former glory of this land.
As I rounded the bend in the
road I could see where my wolf left her mark.
The glowing eyes appeared at our sacred spot; I knelt and Alpha
kissed me.
“What can I do,” I
asked; Alpha said, “Teach them to Love, this
will heal.”
