![]() Upward DraftA Poem by Veronica Chandler![]() Just blowing off steam now and shifting gears.![]()
Swirling about on an upward draft Breaking apart the dense apparel Light body writhing to break free Leaving stilettos in my wake And idiots with the crass To squirm in the grass A snake and worm Do cringe with truth Licking lips in predation Truth comes to inundate all Flood rushing in so vibrant and blue Makes the twilight bright and fills the void Left by the two, the snake and the worm They squirm with chagrin at another’s true joy Go ahead on home I don’t want your toy only my joy Swirling about on an upward draft I lift my glass and toast your game Now back to my sweet and love Back to the peace of my dove Vibrant alive a head on high Lifting all who want life up To more than mortals be More than boredom More than you see More than before Light body grows Breaking apart Stereotypes © 2011 Veronica ChandlerAuthor's Note
