The Reason I Wanted to Die

The Reason I Wanted to Die

A Poem by Nishikata
"

What forces one to forfeit their life?

"
I always thought that I'd die
As the deafening cries of the crows are near
Disappointed as they just flew by
A life without a sparkle, I let out a sigh

I always thought that I'd die
When the stars left the night sky
A single flash then caught my eye
Wishing for a light before try

I always thought that I'd die
When the bridge I walked on starts to crack
I still proceed the worm-filled track
Crossing, I saw the crimson sky

I always thought that I'd die
As a boy looks at me in the eye
Raindrops fell this time of summer
"I am sorry" to the me who had suffer
