The Once and Future KingA Poem by MishaThe righteousness and ideals you bore may indeed have saved your nation once. However, I’m certain you know what became of those who were saved, but left to themselves. -Alexander to Arthuria
My body adorned of steel
My heart filled with the sword of the brave My cry will inspire thousands of men My existence shall prove of their might As I hold the greatest weapon man created With the Ideals and Dreams of mankind I shall bear it with pride For I am destined, chosen to make it true I teared the front lines Undaunted, I gaze at death And as it gaze back, I told myself "Think of what you hold dear, and never look back!" I fought for thousands of people unbeknownst to me But that, I need not to know For the purpose of making their dreams come true I shall bear everything they desire Every swing is a step further And further did it take my people near, Near the abyss of an unending battle A living nightmare To be the last standing among my men It's such a shame Neither it was valor that I had Nor those wishes I've yet to fulfill How could a king, who turned blindly on himself Fulfill the wish of many Riding only on those dreams that the others had Forsaking himself for other's bliss? A king is someone who the soldiers abide and respect A king is hearty, for that he's adorned by his people A king is feared, respected, and loved by those he hold A king is an ideal, made real, told in our songs.
