Anticipation

How do I feel, in this world of perception?

As life gazes on me; in its majesty and deception

Delicious fruits of sin, appear to wither and fade

Yet anticipated fulfilment continues to evade 

A world of unfairness and bitter and strife 

Please hold my hand, because such is life.
