Knitted

Knitted

A Poem by Madison.

For Aubrey--
I remember we were once six years old. And we played together, and we laughed together, and we imagined together, and our souls were knit together.
Another time, we were twelve years old. And we danced together, and we laughed together, and we stayed up late together, and our souls were knit together.
Later, we were eighteen years old. And we talked together, and we laughed together, and we cried together. And still, our souls were knit together.
Now, we're twenty-one. And we're on our own together, we love together, we miss together, and we smile together. And though our souls are stretched apart, they remain knit together.

This is quite a touching sweet piece. Love the title and the way you wrote this out.
I love this bond you have written about. A bond/ friendship everyone wants to have, where you go through everything together, and are still a team. Even when for whatever reason you are both apart for awhile, you find your waay back to eachother. Wonderful poem
