The Moon

The Moon

A Poem by Just A Shadow Here
"

You may read this poem and see yourself in it, or may see a friend or family member in it. But this poem represents the moon or an outcast of the world.

"

I am numb

Hidden away in the misty light above the sky

Colorless and unnoticed to the eye

“Hello?” “hello?” I cry

But no response is heard

Darkness echos my name

And I come instantly

The silence being a comfort

I stay awake at night, and drift away when light arises

A piece taken away from me, with each slice

Till I’m nothing in sight

Then I grow my confidence again, only to be cut down again

People look and admire,

Some don’t even look and remember my phases

My skin, looking like mistakes erased on a white canvas

A failure to the human eye

Yet a beauty in nature

Mmm...true moon spoke here....
But....sometimes in a season moon does stays at the sky even when sun appears opposite!!
A blemished beauty...but compared to the most beautiful lady's glow.....
Great read, Thanks for sharing😊
