We live in an age

where situations are

happening.

Behind

all

closed doors

No one to see!

No one to hear!

No one to think!

Or even notice

anything!

Young girls

and young woman

getting took

and

put into

the back of a van

and travel across

the world.

Being made to

believing and thinking

in

a promised land

A new start

a new beginning

of something

really good

for them.

 

Just to travel

and get there

to this no existing

dream.

And when they

do

finally, arrive

they are

locked in a room

no windows.

Little food

or water.

And used as

a prostitute

and basically

a slave

for others

to take

advantage

off.

Never being

able

to repay

the dealer

the amount

of the fare

to arrive

at this

destination

of

a new

hell on earth.

Strong topic to write about Dee and one close to my heart. I find it appalling in this day and age we have slavery back under our noses. Who would have thought it? From what I have read, there isn't a town in the UK that hasn't got the problem. People tricked under false pretenses, who then can't escape. Imprisoned, illtreated and far from home.

I hate the thought of slavery... I cringe when I see a girl missing on the news because of the hell she will go through... I wish this was a better world but reality is it is a messed up world and very little people care... thanks for sharing this poem..
