Online Friends

Online Friends

A Poem by Onlyme

Sometimes,  "online friends"
are actually better mates,
to you!

Then, the ones,
you have "face to face"
in real time
at  college,
school, University,
in a job working together.
Or even
where you live at home.
 Hanging out together.

What makes me think that,
 Are you wondering?

Well,
they are more aware
of you,
as you are talking
they are listening more
attentively to you
"one-on-one".

As well as they
are interested
and feel safer
to be able
to express themselves
totally with you
at a deeper level.
And you likewise
right back at them!

You can be yourself
without feeling you
are being judged, laughed at
or criticized
Let alone going to be put down
in a way.

And if you do. You
just delete them or ask them
straight what "was all that
about" and get them to
explain why they are being
that way with you?

Basically, feeling safer
to say what you like.
When you are online.
With your "online friends"
As the affinity is already
they're,  between you both!

And feeling more
secure in yourself and
less judged. Let alone wanted
more, than just face to
face offline. As others will
relate to you better.

Face-to-face offline people.
Tend to be more guarded,
about what they give away
regards themselves to their offline
friends. As well as not
always telling the truth
to everyone who is a
friend to them. For whatever
reason, they hold onto.

Author's Note

Onlyme
Don't forget like in real life. You can also get fakers and cheaters and liers. So be warned! Online Friends, choose wisely! Like everything in life, you do get good and bad in all. Real friends are great in real life if you are lucky to have them or even one! So remember that too.
