Nice things do happen when you least expect it...

A Story by Onlyme

Today, was going to be a hard day today, as was
going to "a pre-op exam and questionnaire
for an operation to do a biopsy to find
out if suitable for the op in general and
was it going to go ahead still"? Next Tuesday coming.
and obviously to find out was it going to be cancer
sometime later after this said operation or not.

The point of this poem is

My brother-in-law took us to the hospital and stayed with us.
But he was watching his friend's 6-year-old son for the day.
So young Harry came along also to the hospital with us.

In the waiting room. The little Harry was just a typical
little sweet boy. Playing with his lorry and car and just
laughing and having fun. But not bothering anyone. But
actually helping hold doors for hospital orderlies and nurses and
people, in general, doing their thing as they passed.

The truth is this made us smile
on such a stress filled day. And laugh out loud.
Even thou today was a major day of uncertainty and upset
outwith the Operation coming on Tuesday.

To be honest. I was glad Harry was with us. He made our
day better and more bearable to deal with. So thank you
Harry for just being you.

A lot of people might think. Why take the child to hospital
but my brother in law didn't want to let his brother down or
his friend. So helped them both out on same day and time.
And doing so he made us smile.

Sounds like they both went above and beyond. Great insight Dee and thanks for sharing. Good luck on the operation and biopsy!
