fantasy verses my reality

fantasy verses my reality

A Poem by Onlyme

The pitter patter of the rain
on my window pane
as I gaze out to sea
from my cabin

my mind drifts
off to another land
thinking of my beau

the times we spent
together
on
our holiday romance

never a single second
apart
kissing holding hands
and rampant
nookie
at my room
or his
funfilled moments
of pleasure and
sheer lust between
us both
that made our heart
flutter and entwine

the day
that came
and we did part
it broke
my heart
in two

for I still, fondle
think of us
together
as one soul
on that
glorious
fortnight
in the sun

I smile
and draw
the curtains
and climb back
into bed

beside my
new husband
and kiss him
on his sweet
forehead and
say goodnight
to him

but alas
he is
not
my dream
lover

he is my
down to earth
practical man
