Right to feel?

I remember as a child being

told,  men should not show their

emotions or cry.

As it makes them look weak.

And women don't like weak men.

To me, that saying broke my heart.

As for me. I find that really sad and

upsetting.

That some men are still brought up

with that attitude even to this

very day.

Where they are expected to be

strong and unemotional

and show no feelings what so ever.

Like they are disconnected

to their own needs.

Like a robot.

Men are human beings.

And if they feel upset,

angry, sad whatever.

They should be allowed

to express how they feel.

And not vulnerabilities it

in a box and put it out of

sight for good. Never to be

looked at or felt ever.

It's like saying to a woman

you're not allowed to be you.
