Television & Biscuit..

Brew ...tea dunk.... dip

A nice cup of tea

with a digestive biscuit

to dunk into it to soften

it up. Then a big bite

before it drops into

your brew.

Chilling out on the sofa

Television on.

Engrossed in your

favourite show.

Sun shining into the room.

But you made sure it

Didn't reflect onto the

television screen.

Gran nattering into your

another ear.

"Wimbledon"  Tennis on soon.

So the television channel is going

to get turned over shortly.

boo hoo.

Oh, the joys of being a kid,

and your elders running the show.

So good by show.. See you next time

a switch of a channel over...

the sip of tea...

and dunk of another biscuit

and a bite.

I miss those days, sit around in front of a tv. No bills, no job, just a few lazy hours of school,maybe a bully or two to worry about. Life was so simple as a kid. I love this poem!!!!

Lovely; reminds me of my own Gran, she of the magical, mystical purse (story on this site).
I remember much the same scenario many times while she was living with us, 'Thank you for reminding me of a happy time in my life. I loved it.
