A Poem by Onlyme

Sitting at the window
looking outside
Seeing the world
pass me by.
Everyone with a purpose
a reason to live
and enjoy life.
Smiling, going places.
Coming and going.
Young lovers holding hands
kissing and embracing.
Children laughing and joking.
Old people.
With shopping trollies
filled to the brim with goodies.
Going home.
Sat here alone.
In a dark
unlit room.
Feeling afraid,
and ever so lonely.
Scared of my own shadow
and the outside world
before me
via this window pane
of thin glass.
I am isolated, timid
and rejected by my own worth
and self-esteem.
No one comes knocking
no one cares.
Even I have shunned me.

That's the worst thing we do ...
I think those who care will reach out...and keep us company but if we shut out the world it can really turn out to be difficult to cope up...

The more we keep in touch and try to get us out of the darkness would help... I think ..that's the better way..... or else we would just fade away and no one will notice...

((Hugs))

That's the fine sweetie, just take care. And thank you
Chin up! The mere fact you've dared to write such a dismal poem means that you do care for those living in darkness. The sun is out and it's warm enough to go naked in my garden. What could be better?

augustus you made me smile. Bless you.
Hello Dawn
I am sitting here looking out on a sky filled with grey clouds just a little bit of welcome shine
Out back I have hung some washing - Pegged on with extra pegs
Twisting about flapping 360 degrees in the gale force wind
I am looking out
For a delivery van he will be the first visitor this week - probably the last
He is to deliver a folding wheel chair for my wife
His van has just gone down the road

Bye for now Take care

What a terribly sad write this is. If you are really feeling this way, please know there are people who care. There are those who will make you see life can be better. You have expressed your emotions well in this poem, but they are concerning. Lydi**
