Affirmation.....

Do you actually see me?

Or do you just see those sad big eyes?

That stare back at you.

The windows to your soul.

That holds so much hurt and past pains.

Your skin is white and weather-beaten.

A few wrinkles and lines around your eyes.

And mouth.

That has stood the test of time and dramas

it has seen and felt in life.

Hair that has touches of white through it.

Even thou it still brown in general.

Your neck is actually okay. Not wrinkled or lined

but youngful and in good state.

Your body is starting to droop and loose shape.

But all in all. Not bad for a middle age woman.

I know life has not been easy for you.

But your mind and heart are still soft and caring.

And you're honest and sincere.

I see all those things.

When I look at you in the mirror.

A good soul with a kind heart.

Remember that on days.

You hate yourself.
