Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night

A Poem by Onlyme

Bonfire night is upon us all.
Flicking flames glowing different
shades of reds and oranges.
Cracking and hissing wood
burning bright.

People of all ages
standing around this massive
symbol of reminders of Guy
Fawkes and what he tried to
do a long time ago in history.

Effigies of all types of people
are placed on the top of the fire
before it's lit. Nowadays
from famous people to anyone
that takes their fancy. Are their
object of desire to head this role.

Fireworks are let off And everyone
eats and drinks and has a good time.

Watching this bonfire burn and the
fireworks show.
Then time for home. Then to bed
all tucked in.
Snug as a bug all night long.

Great imaging! I feel that it would flow better if you wrote "shades of red and orange" vs "shades of reds and oranges". Overall a very lovely poem
