Only a short moment in our own lifetime.

Our time on earth

is limited.

But we can be,

the best,

that we can be.

During our time on this planet,

called earth.

To give and receive,

love and affection.

Trust, hope and compassion

and empathy and joy.

As well as be,

all we can fully be,

as an individual human being

on earth.

Developing, nurturing, growing

evolving and learning

as well as cherishing our friendships

that we make.

On our travels in our lifetime.

As well as appreciate our families

and friends,

for who they really are.

Before it's all too late.

And never,

try to push your own

personal values.

Onto others who

already have their own.

But to instead appreciate

their point of view as well

as your very own.

To live and to let live.

Make love, not fight or make wars.

Always find peace, not hate.

No matter your background,

your race or colour.

Or how much money you

make or have of our own.

As at the end of the day.

We are all here,

just the once.

And all human beings at that.

Another nice moral piece.....

Life is indeed short and we always should aspire to greater heights and make the most of the time we have on Earth. I certainly like your words regarding the forcing of personal views and morals on others. To me, that is a major concern of our times, particularly in regards to religious belief and political correctness. Sometimes those personal morals and opinions are very skewered. No one size fits all. Freedom of thought and opinion should always be paramount.

Again, a thoughtful, moralistic write.
