Don't drink warm milk late at night?

Don't drink warm milk late at night?

A Poem by Onlyme

Have you ever had
a nightmare?
The kind you just
can't wake up from?

The sort that makes you
feel as though
you are actually alive
within its power.
And the reality is
happening all around you
inside this mighty vision.

Furthermore in the real world.
As you sleep
and have this
awful time asleep.

Someone is trying so damn hard
to wake you up
for real
but just can't
bring you around.

The more they try
to arouse you
the harder it just gets
with no reaction
from you
coming around
at all.

They talk
and even shout your name.
Still no response
from you
in that
deep slumber.
The one
who is in turmoil land.

They then
try to wake you up
feeling frustrated, scared
as well as upset.

They just can't reach you.
And then they flick the
overhead light in the room
goes on.

Then slowly you start
to come alive again.
Thank God.

Waking up from this vivid horror
that was active within
your mind's eye.

All I can tell you.
This really does
creep you out.
At it happened to me last night.

And still, my skin gets goosebumps
from slight reminders
still to this
very day.

Nightmares are evil and horrible
and really scare the hell out of YOU.

Don't drink warm milk late at night.

This is a great piece Dawn.
But to answer your question, no, I have not.
I'm a lucid dreamer, and in most cases, I can wake myself up from the dream if it gets to messy.
in other cases, the human brain only dreams in r.e.m. sleep, not in deep r.e.m. Most nights, I write for long intervals until I crash to sleep and wind up in such a deep sleep that I don't dream.

I guess now I dream this way.

Interesting comment you left Wesley. Thanks for your thoughts. Dawn.
Wonder if that is the effect you would get from a couple of drams of scotch.
