Summertime :)

first signs.

You can tell

when the sun

comes out.

As everyone

starts to shed their

clothing.

And on goes.

The short sleeves

t-shirts and shorts,

skirts and summer dresses.

For the woman

and for the guys.

Bare chests and shorts.

Or a t-shirt and shorts

if they were feeling modest.

And of course

bare feet in sandals

or flip-flop shoes are worn

or maybe even

sneakers or trainers.

With sunglass to shield their eyes

from the powerful

midday sun.

Maybe even a hat

to get a better shade

in general to the head.

The windows in the home

are flung wide open

as is the front door.

To enjoy the coolness

of the light breeze in the air.

And if you are driving

the windows are down full

and the happy music is blasting

from their vehicles.

People are smiling and chatting

and having a nice time.

Let alone enjoy ice cream cones

and drink cold drinks.

As you pass them walking

in the street as they go

about their business.

It really does cheer you up.

Seeing the sunshine in the sky.

On a gorgeous perfect day ahead.

As the children play in the playgrounds

and parks with their parents

if they are too young to be alone.

And the teenagers on their bikes and

playing football and having a blast.

You know summer is ahead.

When you  see these things

happening around you.
