Joyce Carol Vincent

Joyce Carol Vincent

A Poem by Onlyme

To die alone
and no one even
to notice or
to care.
That you
were even
missing or
could be dead.

The sad facts of
Joyce Carol Vincent.

Who for nearly
2 years her body.
Was decomposing in
her London bedsit.

On the sofa
in her living room
with the television
set still on.

And the only reason.
She was actually found
was due to the
local housing association
coming that very day
years later.
After her death.

To repossessing the bedsit
for rent arrears she owed.

Joyce was 38 years of age.
She was not an addict or
in trouble with the law
or anything bad in general.

She basically fell
through the cracks
of life and humanity.

Authorities think Joyce
died of an asthma attack
with maybe complications of
a recent peptic ulcer she had.

May you Rest In Peace
Joyce.

And know you're not forgotten.

To die alone in one of
the Biggest Cities in this
World in London UK.

And no one even knew.
How tragic and heartbreaking.

television may have warranties..our lives don't///
and contracts maybe remembered...rental agreements...because it is all about what's not most important...which is people...2 years...unbelievable how some fall through those cracks...and never get noticed in life or death.
