Emily.

Emily was a sweetheart,

a fluffy white snowball of

pure soft fur.

With a cute button pink nose

and dainty pink paws.

she passed at 22 years of age.

She was a perfect cuddle cat.

An amazing purr machine.

And would sleep on the bed

beside you at night.

I got her at a time

in my life.

When I was alone,

scared and afraid

And had no one.

She gave me comfort,

love and affection.

She would let me cuddle her when

tears flooded

my eyes.

And she would listen

when I was not

in a good frame

of mind.

Emily really gave me

love and hope.

As well as

was my dear little

saviour and friend.

Miss you lots

Emily.

Even to this very today.

Dawn - I had never been especially fond of cats, but for some strange reason they seem to take to me. My younger daughter has three and whenever I visit they come and greet me like a long lost friend. Of course I give them all the attention they want and they always so playful. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Emily sounds like a wonderful member to have had in your family.

Dawn, that is some age for a cat. One of mine lived for nearly seventeen years. I can imagine how devastated you were when she died. Our pets are family. Their loss is deeply felt. Not surprising Emily is still missed. Nice little tribute here.

Thanks Chris, yes she was a house cat and actually enjoyed just being a house cat. And they are known to live longer than outdoor ones. She was a beauty Chris, and like you said they are family and always will be. Your cat lived to a good age also. :)

oh my dear Dawn this is so very touchingly lovely, I'm sorry and sad for You loss, Emily was and still a precious gift, I hope You are having now in Your difficult times a company like hers, I know it will be a source of great comfort for You.
