Doggies & Owners..

Doggies & Owners..

A Poem by Onlyme

The doggie walkers, in my area
are quite a bunch of characters
to say the least.

You have the odd soul
who has like 2 or 3 dogs
all various sizes, ages
let alone different types
of breeds of dogs.

All on separate leads
of course.
Walking nicely, up the road
like good boys and girls
should.

And the mad eccentric neighbour who
has a little dog
on a massive extender
lead.
And lets it running riot
across the road and on a
other pavement she is
not even near.

Nearly causing an accident
with her careless way
and attitude with her dog.

And the amount of dog pooh
You have to skip and jump over
just to get to where you going
is beyond a joke.

They are supposed to clean up
after their pets, But most are
too damn lazy to do so.

And the rare person you do clean up after their
pet
you feel like giving them
a badge for the good deed is done.

They all go into the local park close
by
and let their dogs run riot.
It's funny to see them
mount other peoples dogs.
For a shot on the swings
so to speak.

Let alone play chases
or even end up in a fight.
Its better than watching TV
at home.

And the odd dog even tries to tackle
some guy and trips him up
and he goes head over heels onto his butt.

And the owner of the dog.
Is laughing his head off.
No sorry. For his dog being
a jerk.

And the little old lady
or man with their old dog
Both on go slow.
Crawling up the road
And them chatting away to their
companions are so sweet to see.
And makes you smile within.

Particularly on a wet day.
A nice clean dog always comes
home wet, muddy and dirty.
After a good run and play
in the park.

It's also uncannily how some
animal lovers look so alike their pet.
In features and stature.

Like some bodybuilder type guy
will have a pit bull or great mastiff
as his pet.

And a delicate girly woman will have a
little chihuahua as her companion.

And the old lady or man will have a
little terrier. Which will be snappy or
sweet. Depending on the owner's personality.
To match them.

An no I don't dislike dog owners.
I was one when I was younger.
When Brandy took me for a walk
instead of me taking her for one.
And when she needs to go.  Oh, forget
it she was fuzzy in where she did
her business.
