Life really is far to short in general.

It's very hard

to let go

of someone you,

admire, adore

and truly love.

No matter,

where it be

a human being

or even

a beloved pet.

The odd time sadly

in life, situations

like this happen

and that really

makes you

have to face situations

you would rather

 keeps your eyes

 and mind closed too,

let alone your emotions

on top.

Sadly that is not

always the case

and can not

be done in reality.

Like if some

loved one

was in a

bad car accident

and  on a life support machine

and it was the only way

to keep them permanently alive

with them on it forever.

And the medical staff

all agreed

it would be

kinder to let

they go.

That is the most harrowing.

emotionally, distressing situation

and the biggest decision

for any family

to have to

come to terms with

and make let alone agree on.

Or your favourite pet dog

is terminal.

With a deadly illness

and the vet says

it's kinder to let them go now.

Life really is just a fleeting

the moment in time.

And so fragile and delicate.

Appreciate the time you

do have on earth.

With family and cherished pets.

And enjoy all

while you can do.

Life really is far to short in general.

Your poem Dawn reminds me of the very difficult situations some people have to face in their lives. Situations that we all dread and think, thank God that's not me faced with that choice. Life is fleeting, we should always remember that. Thank you dear Dawn for reminding me today.

I love this hard-hitting poem, dear Dawn. I had an accident today and as the Motor-bike I was riding pillion spiralled out of control, crashing into a lamp post, time stood still. Life is like that, normal one moment and may be over the very next. That’s why it’s so precious. (Luckily no one was hurt) Appreciated so much.
