Shouting About Chinese Food Again

Shouting About Chinese Food Again

A Poem by R.E.K.

In my heart
Sits a glass blown bird
On a window sill
Yet she's never heard

On these walls
The naked art
Of my great-uncle
Never met him,
Never will

Leave me for a
Quiet room
Leave me for a
Quiet room

Please,

Don't forget that I

Belong in a
Sacred home
That my soul
Is of Jewish stone

Please know,
That I am
A golden globe

Turning round and round
While you shout about

Chinese food again.
