Just a Letter

Just a Letter

A Poem by Dean

I’m not even sure how I want to start this bullshit letter,

I’d write it to you in blood, but why waste good venom?

I’ll throw you in the pile of old crooked bodies,

Set you all on fire and throw you to the dogs.

Oops I didn’t mean to overstep my boundaries,

Didn’t exactly plan to sign my life for jokes,

And I’ll think dearly of you, all piled in the corner,

Your blood seeping through the ancient concrete.

I’d shred you all to pieces and throw you in the streets,

But why let the children dirty up their feet,

There’s no ancient power, no simple mastermind…

This idiotic world is ruined by the blind.

The mute teach the deaf, and the deaf listen to us all,

This stupid universe that’s just crumbling in its fall…

The future is dissolving, the past has been erased,

I won’t write that bullshit letter, let it go to waste.

The ground can swallow me, and feed me to the dogs,

The deaf have heard my screaming, the blind have seen it all…

And begging on my knees, I swear to you I’m me,

And I refuse to walk through this world shamelessly.

For I have seen the darkness and I have seen the light,

I chose to stay aside and let them try and fight…

The demons won the darkness, the angels won the rest,

The humans sat there watching, with zero interest,

The middle ground is our world, I think I must inform,

It isn’t yours, my human, it’s mine and his and hers.

Destroy it as you please, but let me sure explain…

My generations passed and surely can’t be blamed,

But we have set the world so pleasant for our kids,

And here you are now, just centuries of this,

Three hundred years ago the world looked so much better,

But that, my friend, ‘s a topic,

For another bullshit letter.

Oh! Wow! I so loved this one,
This is wonderful, like how well written this is.
