Fine

Fine

A Poem by Dean

A gun to my head and you ask if I’m fine,

Give me a reason to not blow my mind

So tired of fighting, this isn’t fair,

Maybe in a month or two this will all blow away,

Just see the anger stain the world like blood on the wall.

My finger starts trembling and the trigger cries out…

The stains on the wall drip to the ground,

And I could tell you the reason behind all of this,

I don’t ask permission, but I did seek forgiveness…

You come by to ask if I’m fine,

There’s fear on your face at the blood you found dry

Sorry my dear, I had to escape,

Your hard words and attitude pushed me over the edge…

I’m gone now. Look at the evidence…

Tell me, who’ll take the blame for my mistake?
