pieces

pieces

A Poem by orrin spencer

taking a small part from each person

I make a fit into each little niche

only too happy to keep the pieces separate

I've never tried to find a whole who could fill this void

happier with pieces, instead of the whole which made me feel desperate.

a piece of her for friendship

a piece of her for drunken shenanigans

a piece of her for sanity

a piece of her for depravity.

If these pieces came in one package

I'd have one hell of a mess

she'd be beauty and rage,

riots and sunflowers,

all wrapped up in a cute straight jacket

How f-n touching... This - is - just - too - funny - ! - ! - !

Actually, the flow was great from line to line, leading to an end that caught me by a bit of a surprise, definately not thinking straight jacket love - just crazy.

Well written.
