Awakening of the Verdant Muse

Awakening of the Verdant Muse

A Poem by Oscar Auliq-Ice

In the quiet hush of winter's end,
Where snow once lay, now flowers ascend.
A whisper soft, the breezes sing,
Announcing the birth of radiant spring.

The crocus peeks with purple hue,
Daffodils dance in morning dew.
Emerald leaves on branches sprout,
Life is stirring, there's no doubt.

Songbirds return from distant shores,
Melodies fill the air once more.
Streams freed from their icy chain,
Murmur tales of winter's wane.

The world awakes from slumber deep,
Promises made are now to keep.
Nature's canvas, vivid and bright,
Spring has brought the world to light.

A symphony of life anew,
Each moment a gift, each sight a view.
Embrace the warmth, the skies so blue,
For the beginning of spring is a dream come true.

Perhaps because the extreme seasons (winter, summer) can cause us such discomfort, we appreciate spring and fall all the more.
