Dear daddy

Dear daddy

A Poem by Promtitties
"

a story i wrote after my father's death in 2009

"

Dear Daddy

Where are you? Why did you go?

You were not ready.

You told me so.

You were comfort.

You were everything.

But what about now? What happens to me?

I am lost.

But you won’t find me.

Now you can’t

See - how I will Grow into me

Walk - me to my husband

Help - me through birth

Guilde - me when I am alone

I cry out: You don’t hear.

I call on you: You give no answer.

I scream: You don’t come.

A light turned off.

A hole opened and

A void appeared.

Sincerely,

daddy’s little girl.
