Drosophila.

Drosophila.

A Poem by Pangur Bán

I went downstairs

and into the kitchen

I really wanted a banana

And while reaching

for that overripe banana

I saw a fruit fly

I stopped reaching

grabbed a newspaper

and raised my hand

But just as I was about

to attack this bug

something occurred to me

He had come

all this way for the

delicious overripe fruit

Me too.
