Breathe

Breathe

A Poem by Flora

I look into seas of blue,

and I'm taken to a beautiful memory.

A look, a touch, one like I've never imagined.

It's fact. It's fantasy.

It's all my dreams in one breathless moment.

I'm transfixed on those pools of blue.

They tell me a story of unbelievable love.

Love for  me!

How can this be? This wonderful gift from God.

What have I done to deserve this man?

The kiss that shatters and rebuilds my soul all at once.

Like the first breath of Spring.

Like the sun rising on to a mountain top.

It's exstacy, it's joy, and fear all in one.

Praying the moment wont end and terrified it will.

Needing to touch him. To be near him. Just to exist in his world.

Longing for the day when I wake up and look into those eyes forever.

For now I take each momen. Each kiss. Each secret look, and thank God.

Knowing that finally, I truly know what it means to be alive.

Thank you Tom. This was my first poem that I truly felt was good. I've been writing for 16 years and I'm finally truly beginning to understand what makes good prose.

The vastness of the ocean blue does indeed conjure up immensely emotive thoughts and desires !

A passionate love poem, penned with imaginative vitality!
