Cage

Cage

A Poem by Parker

I don't like my name
I don't like my face
I don't like my body
I don't like change
Everyone wants to free themselves
To get out of their cage
But the cage is where i feel safe
To stay in it forever
And not say a word
Wipe my existence
From the universe
Unable to do wrong
Unable to hurt
Unable to burden
Unable to yearn
I like my cage
I don't want to leave
Hopefully the longer I stay
The more people will forget me..

Cages can be for protection or can be imprisonment. This is sorrowful that the narrator of this poem feel this way with no way out of the feeling
