too have a birthday. and the sky lies too

too have a birthday. and the sky lies too

A Poem by paul

to have a birthday
once in your life

to be fooled by time.

.Time is a liar
cousin to the sun.

and the sky lies
too.

and trying to find your muse
is like trying
to pick the right bird,
out the sky.

or the right star
to look at

.and youre  just an animal too alone
too see.

and real madness is an artform.

.
. ah, beautiful ... so true ... so true ...

and he searches
amongst those who soar
to find his words
and find them more

and cousins conspire
time and the sun
to keep him out
they care for no one

but the poet knows
and he goes on and on
his art grows
from madness to an art form

I keep thinking if I sit quiet and have enough patience the right bird will fly right out of the sky and light on my finger . . . it could happen

Essence of what you intend to say lies compact in such pithy write ups..compact yet immense in feeling, emotion.
Now this has many layers. This just can't be one subject.I like how you begin, love that phrase actually cause it is so fresh and so witty..to have a birthday
once in your life

to be fooled by time.
and then the last two lines.Yes real madness is an art form.
