from one hell to another

from one hell to another

A Poem by paul
"

hell

"
and now with all the angels gone
only memories left.
the sidewalk smacks
the concrete seems even
harder than normal
and even the birds leave
indifferent as women.
And always the wall
trapping you
listening but not
with no memory
fake as the sun
fake as the moon
and it all winds down
the way the wind rests
and the sea sleeps
and planets die.
and this ladder only goes
from one hell
to another

. the only place i venture out into since i don't know when is the 8th floor terrace of the apartment building that i live in ... i sit on this elevated concrete structure ... and there's a wooden ladder right there ... going to the top of the water tank ... one day i reached the top of the water tank ... and guess who followed me there ... the thirty odd squirrels who give me company when i go to the terrace ... but there were pigeons there too ... and these squirrels and those pigeons started observing each other rather minutely and got into some kinda conversation ... in short ... the badness of hell is over-rated ... lol ... :) ...
