outhere again

outhere again

A Poem by paul

outhere in the nighttime
lights are mocked
by darkness

infinities chase
their own tail

thoughts invade
clear sky

and that old hudson river

shimmers

reflecting new york city
like a liquid mirror

thoughts invade
clear sky

like ships
on the ocean

an ocean
full of ships

skies invade
empty space

like nighttime
and day

. oh, amazing ... when you write ... the universe reveals itself to you ... you etch with precision ... in the perfect of hues ... these thoughts enter our minds ... and doubts persist persistently ... it is hard to focus ... when darkness drains vehemently ... it mocks and it stains and it stinks too ... doubts are dubious and a threat for me and you ... infinities and spaces cause epic mayhems ... the snowfalls in NYC ... who can blame them ... stillness is rare and so is 'invisible' ... madness is bare and sanity is divisible ... oh, how you inspire, paul ... how you reveal ... how you teach ... and how you state ... for me, you personify profundity and always will ...

Love the 'shimmer''mirror' play on rhyme and meaning. This was one I read a few times yesterday too. I wondered whether the gap between river and shimmer was necessary but I reckon its got a reason that I'm just not seeing yet. Thank you so much for your comments on my work. I don't get around too many people in this place and it is lovely to read work of such quality as yours.

Unusual..marvellous..this couldn't have been better..you have condensed a myriad into such beautiful simplicity that it is amazing...amazing.

these words invade the mundane and go into the wordless... skies invade empty space..it is as if everything is brought down

Incredible and nothing less than such. This could condense a social psychology textbook into just a few pages. All you need to know about a society and its bewilderment is here, euphemistically expressed in a way that only warrants marveling.

- wow - again - wow - infinite profundity - abundant in every line - serah's so right - every syllable echoes - the rain would surrender - its inevitable fall - to its never ending pursuit - of the sky - and the sky would relent - trade its vastness - for a drop of heaven - in your words -
- from my tiny corner in the world - i see - and believe - and witness - and experience - the wonder and the sandness - the magic and the tragedies - the beauty and the serenity - of imagaes innumerable - and of moments between moments - through the mesmerizing mirror of your words - thank you - ever so much - for being profundity personified -
