everynight

everynight

A Poem by paul

every night the light
still plays
on the water

cities wait
to crumble

back to the sea

as the river

becomes the ocean.

. whoa ! ... you said it ... and then sir hart said it ... and i just want to say ... that i feel like a crumbling city to me ... i feel like debris ... oh, i feel so buried in the sea ... windows don't matter ... what's inside is what's outside ... and everything and everyone's at sea ... that's why most things don't make sense ...

- just the thought - of cities crumbling back to the sea - this feeling of drowning - in something way too overpowering - for one to even be a matched opponent - is stifling - and suddenly - the struggle is a comfort!! -
