Games around the burley oak

Games around the burley oak

A Poem by Paul F Clayton
"

more memories of childhood

"

Tony Curtis, buttons brass
Aston Martins drove too fast
Bazooka Joes were shared around class
In the nineteen seventies
Help, it's the hair bear bunch
Dalek death rays after lunch
Brush your teeth with mister punch
On A.T.V.

Wearing badges from star trek
Living next door to George Beck
Moonbase alpha was a wreck
In the nineteen seventies
Donny Osmond made them faint
Paint that Zephyr, paintbrush paint
Roger Moore, he was the saint
On A.T.V.

Games around the burly oak
Games around the burly oak
Games around the burly oak
We used to play
Games around Marley chock
Games around Marley chock
Games around Marley chock
From yesterday
