thank god religion is dead

thank god religion is dead

A Poem by skye

i would love to be a registered priest,

knee deep in p***y 24-7,

sanctioning marijuana use as a ritual rite.

whiskey before service with a shot of cocaine,

sinners repent,

here comes the collection plate.

Author's Note

skye
i was simply illustrating the corruption in organized religions,
also kinda hiding the fact that im a lonely person and maybe life would be better if i was a clergy man taking advantage of the power of belief like i see so many others do.

This is a very powerful write. Wonderfully dark and ominous ;)

you've flipped the hipocrisy of religion and served it straight up with no holds barred~ revealing the corrupt aspects in vivid precise detail~ deeply affecting from its raw edges and solid foundation~
poetry is supposed to be honest and cut straight to the heart~you've achieved that beautifully with this write~

I suspect that you wrote this poem with provocation in mind and not beauty (which is fine, everything is allowed in poetry).

I am for belief, but against religion, religion strangles belief and abuses power in order to capitalize on faith. Yes to God, No to the Pope. :)
