North Going Zax

North Going Zax

A Poem by skye

You and me were the only ones out at that time of night.
god only knows how many yards away you were when i first saw you enter the same narrow sidewalk i was traveling on.
it reminded me of The Zax.
you were north going,
and i was south going.
eventually, after ten minutes, we almost met face to face until i moved into the grass so you could continue your path.

To this day i still wonder if we could have been standing there for eternity while society progresses around us, waiting for the other to get out of the way,
if only i hadn't moved.
