It's that Static Cling Thing

It's that Static Cling Thing

A Poem by Incindie M. Coeur

guess what?

i think you're kind of cute.

that kind of cute

that renders me mute when we sit together

drinking beers.

because

your kind of cute

i sleep on every night, it keeps me tossing and turning

because

i'm not sure if it's right.

so please, keep it light

'cause

i've alway been kind of cautious about this type of s**t

all i do, all day, is nit pick, nit pick.

and i don't want you to call me, but if by chance you do, let me ask you one thing,

my little carrot stick,

would you maybe like to stay the night?

or have a bite

to eat.

and oh, hey

don't take it personally

just hold on tight

for this night, and

babe keep in mind,

that i'm just not so sure

maybe i'm sick

and need a cure.

my mind walks me in circles

it walks me forward and back

how about you and i

take a walk by the train tracks.

but don't expect me to call you

and i'd appreciate it if you didn't call me

too often.

because honestly

i do like you

it's not you baby, it's me.

because for some reason i,

well,

basically

can

not

see

you and me.

erhm, how about we go for a cup of tea?

and we'll talk about this some other eve.

but can i ask you one thing babe, while i have you this time

would you ever leave me, for some one else's rhyme?

because if you did

my sweet sugar pie

i would then see, how you see, how i do not see, you and i.
