Mother to monster

Mother to monster

A Poem by matthew J

I once had a mother,
Who was an angel, a star.
The breeze that came when her name was called,
Would send a shiver down your spine.
The air would thicken,
The ground would give way,
And time had stopped.
The chill was so real,
That everything froze,
From metal to wood,
Animals to humans.
Nothing could escape, no one was safe.
If you stepped, the ice would crack,
The weight was to much.
You are wondering,
Why, what's happening?
I forgot to warn you,
My mother, her name...
The legend is her soul was taken,
Turned into hatred, became a curse.
You want dust, a destroyed nation.
Well then, just say the magic word,
All it takes is a whisper and then it's your turn.
